National Exam Review Class

What The Class Covers

The National NHA Licensure Exam tests the five domains (Quality of Care/Quality of Life, Human Resources, Finance, Physical Plant and Leadership/Management), Life Safety Code and OBRA. To prepare students for this exam RMP offers a one day class (please see the F.A.Q. page for two available class formats) which reviews the five domains. It is important to note that RMP students pass at a rate of 80% after taking this class.

There is a tremendous amount of material on this exam; therefore relying on short term memory is not a suggested strategy. To maximize student time, concentration and efficiency RMP includes in the tuition fee a detailed outline of the NAB Study Guide and a copy of relevant sections (pre-highlighted) of the NAB Study Guide. This material is downloaded (please see FAQ page), printable once upon activation as it is built into academic software and can be accessed an unlimited number of times for one year on the computer it was activated on.The RMP instructor goes through the five domains and gives suggestions for the Life Safety Code and OBRA sections. RMP assists the students by boiling down the information through these class materials. Please note that the Study Aids are not included in the class tuition. Refer to the shopping cart for a comprehensive price list for all Study Aids.

We know that this material may seem dry and overwhelming but the truth is that these regulations were put in place for a reason. The RMP instructor helps the student step back from test anxiety and put things in perspective so that the regulations have meaning. Understanding the meaning of the material will ultimately affect how the administrator runs the building. A well run building will lead to better quality of care and life for the resident.

We recommend reviewing class material prior to class to maximize learning during the class. An RMP instructor can assist students with the development of a study schedule if needed. All the student needs to do is e-mail the instructor with his/her potential test date, available time to study per day and contact phone number. The RMP instructor will then call the student to discuss study schedule options.
