Welcome to RMP & Associates
About the Company
Rebecca Perley founded RMP and Associates (RMP) to help Administrators in Training (AITs) prepare for both the California and National Nursing Home Administrator licensure exams. Ms. Perley is licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator and is certified as a Residential Care Administrator. She also holds a Master of Science in Health Care Administration. She has been teaching AIT exam review classes for the past six years with notable success because classes focus on the knowledge which makes an administrator successful. To be successful, administrators must be well versed in the regulations which ensure good nursing home practices and be acutely aware of the "domino" effect.
The "domino" effect exemplifies how every aspect of the nursing home affects quality of care and quality of life for the residents and their family members. A failure to follow a national or California regulation, although seemingly minor, can trigger a series of negative consequences. Regulations on both the California and National licensure exams are in force to ensure residents experience a good quality of life through good nursing home care practices. To be well educated, Nursing Home Administrators must be able to place themselves in the residents' shoes so they can understand physically, mentally and emotionally what the residents are experiencing 24 hours a day. Family members must also be considered as they often play an integral role in the care and quality of life of the residents. Staff education and training, adequate staffing and staff who are nurturing and empathetic are also the Nursing Home Administrator's responsibility to help ensure the best quality of life for the residents.
It is with this comprehensive approach that RMP helps administrators reach their full potential for themselves and for their residents.
What We Do
RMP offers exam review classes to assist Administrators-in-Training (AIT's) prepare for the California and National Licensure Exams. Due to the challenging nature of these exams and low pass rates (32% average pass rate for California's exam and 73% average pass rate for National's exam) RMP has created two class options to prepare Administrators-In-Training to succeed in passing the exam(s).
An experienced and Licensed Nursing Home Administrator teaches RMP's class(es). Based on reported statistics from the Nursing Home Administrator Program exam results, RMP students passed the California Licensure Exam at a rate of 70% and the National Licensure Exam at a rate of 80%.
RMP has developed proven Learning Materials for both exams and techniques to help students pass. These materials are available for home study. In addition, the clarity of the materials and our proven techniques teach efficient ways to not only understand the material but also to memorize the material in a faster manner. More efficient study maximizes learning efficiency thereby saving you study time.
Taking the RMP class(es) and utilizing the Learning Materials are the best steps you can take to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
Going Green
RMP is "Going Green" to do its part to protect the environment. We have changed business practices to aid in the reduction of fossil fuel use and curb global warming.
To limit travel and in response to student requests, we have increased the number of Distance Learning classes. Also, on February 18, 2008 Learning Materials will be available through our downloadable software only; hard copies will no longer be provided. Use of technology can reduce our dependence on fossil fuel use and help protect the planet.
