California Exam Review Class

What The Class Covers

The California NHA Licensure Exam tests on Chapter 2.5 Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Chapter 3 Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), and Chapter 4 Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF). In addition, OBRA is covered on the exam; specifically the Survey Process and F-Tags. The RMP class reviews the Title 22 portion of the exam with suggested guidelines for the OBRA portions. It is the combination of our instructor's ability to explain and contrast the material, convey test taking strategies and the focus of our Study Aids that prepare our students to succeed.

Needless to say there is a tremendous amount of material on this exam; therefore relying on short term memory is not a reasonable strategy. To maximize student time, concentration and efficiency RMP includes a workbook with the latest version of Title 22's relevant sections. This workbook is included in the class tuition and includes 50 sample test questions which are reviewed throughout the day. This material is downloaded (please see FAQ page), printable once upon activation as it is built into academic software and can be accessed an unlimited number of times for one year on the computer it was activated on. In addition, it is imperative to not only know each area of information but also how the regulations compare to each other. Therefore, RMP's instructor will contrast areas in SNF, ICF and OBRA pointing out differences to give the students tools to identify what type of test question they are facing. Please note that the Study Aids are not included in the class tuition. Refer to the shopping cart for a comprehensive price list for all Study Aids.

We know that this material may seem dry and overwhelming but these regulations were put in place for a reason. The RMP instructor tries to help the student step back from the test anxiety and put things in perspective so that the regulations have meaning. Understanding the meaning of the material will ultimately affect how administrators run their building. A well run building will lead to better quality of care and life for the resident.

We recommend reviewing class material prior to class to maximize learning during the class. An RMP instructor can assist students with the development of a study schedule if needed. All the student needs to do is e-mail the instructor with his/her potential test date, available time to study per day and contact phone number. The RMP instructor will then call the student to discuss study schedule options.

Testimonials

"I PASSED. Amazing! You know I worked very hard. It is a lot to know. I don't think one would pass (well, at least me) without some pretty good directed guidance - like the class. There is just so much to know and studying such a wide range of topics is difficult, at best. Your class gave focus on areas that needed concentration. Of course, there were still things that I did not study that were on the test. I'm sure I did some mighty fine guessing on a number of them. Thanks for your help."

"I took the state exam on 8/01/07 and got a result. I passed it. I am planning to take the national exam in September and am studying for it now. Thank you very much for the lecture, support, and advice. I deeply appreciate your help."
