Class Overview

The National NHA Licensure Exam tests the five domains (Quality of Care/Quality of Life, Human Resources, Finance, Physical Plant and Leadership/Management), Life Safety Code and OBRA. To prepare students for this exam AIT Exam Prep offers a one day class (please see our Class Information page for Class Details) which reviews the five domains. It is important to note that AIT Exam Prep students pass at a rate of 85% after taking this class. Classes are outstanding for the instructor explains the material in the most understandable language and teaches successful test taking strategies.  The Study Aids available for purchase focus on the essential material that may be tested on the national exam.

There is a tremendous amount of material on this exam; therefore relying on short term memory is not a suggested strategy. To maximize student time, concentration and efficiency AIT Exam Prep includes in the tuition fee a detailed outline of the The NAB Study Guide, 4th Edition. Class tuition is not taxable.  This material is downloaded (please see our Class Information page) and printable one time upon activation.  It is built into software and can be accessed an unlimited number of times for one year on the computer it was activated on. The AIT Exam Prep instructor lectures on the five domains and gives suggestions for the Life Safety Code and OBRA sections. AIT Exam Prep boils down information to make it readily accessible.

This material may seem dry and overwhelming but the truth is that these regulations were put in place for a reason. The AIT Exam Prep instructor helps the student step back from test anxiety and puts things in perspective so that the regulations have meaning. Understanding the meaning of the material will ultimately affect how the administrator runs the building. A well run building will lead to better quality of care which ultimately yields a better quality of life for the resident.

We recommend reviewing class material prior to class to maximize learning during the class.

Support

An hourly support plan is offered to improve your chances of success.  The fee is $120 for up to 60 minutes of phone or e-mail support. This is helpful for fine tuning studying, reviewing material prior to the test, developing a study plan and clarifying questions about Study Aids and / or OBRA information. (Refer to our Products Support page for more details.)
